Aboriginal youth paddlers are invited to compete for the Aboriginal Provincial title at the 2nd annual BC Aboriginal Provincial Canoe Championship. The 2014 North American Indigenous Games are coming to Canada in July of 2014 and it’s time to begin preparing and training*! This event will help prepare Aboriginal youth to compete in the recreational style marathon canoes used at NAIG. This event is sanctioned by CanoeKayak BC. Registration is open to eligible participants – No pre-qualification required.

* This year’s event is not a Team BC Selection event, but rather a Developmental ID and training opportunity that provides competitive experience in NAIG style canoes and NAIG format for Aboriginal youth interested in pursuing Team BC - NAIG. While the 2012 BC Aboriginal Championship is for youth ages 10 to 19 (born 1993 to 2002), please note the 2014 NAIG canoe events will be for youth born from years 1995 to 2002.
