Details

Greetings fellow paddlers,
Please review these clarifying details and updates regarding the Ted Houk Memorial Regatta. Also, make sure to visit our webpage at www.seattlecanoeclub.org to ensure that you have the latest regatta and entry information.
Entries/Payment:
Each club should complete and submit only one < 2010 Ted Houk Entry Form.pdf> for their team by the entry deadline of June 1, 2010. We recommend entering your credit card info and faxing the completed regatta entry form directly to our secure office line (found on form) or phoning in your payment during regular office hours. In addition to the regatta entry form please complete all event entries electronically on the <2010 Ted Houk Entries.xls> and submit them via email to Craig Cayton .
We have hired a caterer to assist in providing a wonderful Saturday night dinner and awards ceremony for all event participants, coaches, family, officials, volunteers and supporters. The dinner is free, all are welcomed, invited, and encouraged to attend. Please remember to enter an approximate headcount for your club in the space provided on the entry form.
No individual athlete waivers are required for this event. It is the responsibility of each club to ensure that their athletes are members of either USACK (event or yearly) or the CCA. USA Canoe Kayak event only memberships if required should not be submitted with team entries but instead be mailed directly to USACK.
Billeting:
The Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club encourages all visiting teams and individual athletes to take advantage of billeting while at the Ted Houk Memorial Regatta. Please send billeting requests to Aasim Saleh at with the time and date of arrival, number of billets, age, and gender of all billets. Requests should be made by the entry deadline of June 1 although no request for accommodation will be denied.
Schedule:
To encourage additional entries we have combined the mens and womans Open/Masters C-4 events as well as the mens and womans Bantam C-4 events. Mixed entries will be allowed, separate awards will be given to the top three mixed or all male crews, and the top three all female crews.
We have also determined that B finals will be offered in the Juvenile/Junior events where more than 14 athletes have entered to support the development of younger Juvenile athletes.
A schedule of events will be posted shortly to our webpage.
Thanks again all,
Aasim
