Burnaby Paddle-A-Thon 2017

Burnaby Canoe and Kayak Club is a non-profit organization that services our community with recreational and competitive flatwater canoe and kayak opportunities.

The Club is focused on providing services to school-aged youth through our summer camps, school and community group paddling programs and year-round youth training programs. In 2016, we had over 800 school-aged youth participating in our paddling programs.

BCKC strives to keep our programs affordable and accessible to youth, to allow them to participate in the sport of sprint canoe and kayak.

Our Paddle-A-Thon is planned for June 25, 2017 at Burnaby Lake and our athletes will set a goal and paddle for as many kilometers as they can within a set time frame.

We hope to raise funds to support the development of our training programs by purchasing new and better equipment such as paddles of various sizes in order to better fit our athletes of different age groups.
