DESCRIPTION:This Championship event for Bantams and Novices will coincide w
 ith Sports Day in Canada on Saturday\, September 18.  This is a national ce
 lebration of sport\, from grassroots to high-performance levels\, in commun
 ities across the country.  Sports Day in Canada is presented by CBC Sports\
 , ParticipACTION and True Sport and is guided by a committee of national sp
 orting organizations and their networks of coaches\, athletes and enthusias
 ts across the country.  It’s an opportunity for all Canadians to celebrat
 e the power of sport to build community\, fortify our national spirit and f
 acilitate healthy\, active living.

\nEntry fee is $10 for each athlete 
 entered.  Late registrations will only be permitted if it does not result i
 n additional heats.  Late fee is $20/athlete.  Clubs will be invoiced by CK
 BC.  Entry deadline is September 9th.
\n
\nAll participating clubs are aske
 d to provide the names of at least 2 volunteers who can assist as officials
 /volunteers for the duration of the event.
\n
\nLimited billeting is availa
 ble on a first come basis.  Camping is available at the lake but please con
 tact Beth for details.
\n
\nThe event will be followed by an awards ceremon
 y and dinner.  Dinner tickets ($15/person) may be ordered with your entry s
 ubmission.  Please bring a cheque for preordered tickets payable to Kamloop
 s Canoe and Kayak Club.  Limited additional tickets will be available until
  noon on Saturday at the results table.

\nIf all coaches abide by 
 the registration deadline the draw should be circulated early enough that e
 ntry issues can be resolved and the final copy posted prior to the event.

 e first race (tentatively 7:30 am)
