Two-day event taking place June 8 and 9, 2019 Day 1 is a 20 km solo boat race on the Shuswap River near Enderby. Course includes upstream and downstream sections with buoy turns and is open to C-1 marathon canoes as well as solo kayaks and SUPs. Day 2 is a 20 km tandem boat race on the South and North Thompson Rivers at Kamloops. The course is technically challenging, featuring buoy turns, upstream and downstream sections, shallows and back channels. Depending on interest, a recreation canoe class on a shorter course may be added as well as allowing other boat types. There will be a shorter course of one hour plus for entry level and senior paddlers for both solo and tandem. The event is hosted by Thompson River Interior Paddle Sports Contact: Darryl Spencer
9 a.m. early registration with 10 a.m. start both days Annual Harvey Fraser award for tandem, prizes for classes with minimums of two entries Food services will be bring your own and awards after each event.
Camping will be at the two Enderby campsites or motel/hotels. Encourage you to book as soon as possible. All participants must be CKBC Marathon, CKBC Sprint members or individuals signing up for a one event only status (Fee added $10.) $30 registration for all races; $15 for one race Tag: Indigenous
