Team BC/Canada Games Training Squad Selection Trials

This regatta will serve as the selection regatta for the 2013 Canada Games training squad and will provide an opportuntity for athletes to achieve time standards for nomination to the Team BC Performance Squads.

Athletes will race 2km, 1000m, 500m and 200m on Saturday. Each discipline will start the 2 km event together.

Athletes will race 200m, 500m, 1000m and 2 km on Sunday. The 2km event will be run with individual spaced starts based on times from the previous day.

The start time for each day will be determined once the entries have been submitted. ENTRY DEADLINE IS midnight JUNE 3rd.

Coaches - please send entries to MJ indicating the athlete's name,discipline and the side the canoers paddle on.

ENTRY FEE $10

We have set aside 10 standard double Queen rooms at the rate of $130.00 CAD plus taxes per room per night and 4 minisuites at the rate of $150.00 CAD plus taxes per room per night for June 8 and 9, 2012.

Rates include our deluxe hot breakfast each morning, as well as access to the indoor swimming pool, waterslide, hot tub and fitness room. There is also complimentary wired and wireless internet throughout the hotel.

The cutoff date for reservations has been extended to May 11th, 2012.

Two mental training sessions (one for those new to mental training; one for those who participated in the mental training programs at the Western Canada Games) with Dave Freeze will be held at the Hampton Inn on Saturday evening at a time TBD once the schedule is complete.

This will be followed by an information session for parents and athletes about the Games and plans leading up to the event.
