Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club is pleased to invite you to the 40th annual Ted Houk Memorial Regatta June 8 to 9, 2018. Information for this regatta is attached, and will soon be posted on the SCKC website: www.seattlecanoekayak.club
Like last year, registration will be entirely on-line this year. The Race Entry System will open May 14. Access details will be sent out closer to that date. Early registration will close on May 25, after which date entry fees will be doubled. To streamline the scratch meeting on June 8 there will be a virtual team-boat building meeting on June 2, at 1 p.m. Access details will be provided prior to the meeting.
We will, once again, be providing a Saturday night dinner for all event participants, coaches, families, officials, volunteers and supporters. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Billeting:
We encourage all visiting teams and individual athletes to take advantage of billeting while at the Ted Houk Regatta. Cynthia Cozza is handling billeting requests ([email protected]). Please let her know the time and date of arrival, number of billets, age, and gender of all billets. Since host families strive to provide the best hospitality possible for the weekend, it is also helpful if other specific needs, such as allergies and dietary restrictions, are noted. Please try to get billeting requests to us by May 18 .
Alternatively, Nexus Hotel has once again offered special room rates for the weekend. Details are attached.
Schedule:
The list of races offered is attached. The format will be similar to last year, with 200m races for Paracanoe, 500m and 1000m races for other athletes. There will be no distance race.
